This is the north abutment for the former Scioto Valley Traction Interurban railroad at it's crossing of the C&MV (later the PRR). The SVT was a third rail electric railroad (uncommon in Central Ohio). The cars were also equipped with trolley poles to take power from overhead wire In urban areas. The line paralleled the N&W from Columbus to Chillicothe, where it terminated.
