The work at the other end of the staging yard convinced me of the utility of an oscillating saw. I found it useful enough that I upgraded to a very nice Fein - I found the Dremel ran hot on heavier work.

The new saw, along with a better set of blades, cut better, it's blade was more secure, ran much cooler, vibrated less and made less noise. It also made this shallow cut very, very simple. Oscillating saws are one of several quot;must havequot; tools.
