Installing Drawer Handle/Stiffener

Installing Drawer Handle/Stiffener

After completing the installation of the mid span supports, I attached the aluminum angle to the drawer. This will further stiffen the drawer, but it's main function is as a full-length handle. Two lengths of angle were required for the entire length. I cut these two pieces to intersect over one of the drawer slides and cut them at a 45 degree angle to spread the load a bit. The angle at the left end of the drawer (shown here) required two bends; one towards the aisle, the second back towards the wall. I removed about an inch of material from the horizontal surface of the angle at both points so the bend would have a gentler radius.
