A #8 x 2quot; coarse threaded multipurpose screw attaches the carrier to the quot;abutmentquot;. This required three different drill bits:
- One pilot hole all the way into the abutment
- A second clearance hole through the carrier (a tight slip fit for the screw to allow better clamping force)
- A counter bore hole to allow the screw to seat deeply enough to have good purchase into the abutment below.
