West End Spline Anchorage

West End Spline Anchorage

For the most part, spline simply floats on benchwork. However, in some locations, it must be firmly attached. The west end of the staging drawer was my first try at developing a method for this.

The approach I tried here was to use two 1x2s to clamp the spline in place. This was challenging since it required the wood to be notched so it could be firmly attached to the underside of the plywood. I used a miter saw to make most of the cuts, an oscillating saw to finish them off.
