After what I thought was a successful test of the slide (about eight photos ago) turned out to be a cruel trick.

Once I attached the drawer surface to the travelers, I ran into several binding issues that were not apparent when the surface was simply clamped on. In addition, the carriers were only mounted at the rear, which allowed the front edges of the carriers to float back and forth while the drawer was being worked.

To fix the binding issues, I did two things:
- Slightly widened the traveller side of the notch to give some additional clearance
- Measured traveller to traveller distance at the rear, then transferred that measurement to the front (see next photo)
