Rail Anchor Method 3 - Hybrid Rail / Tie anchorage
This stub spur had one rail glued to the side of the ties that are connected. This let the track to behave something like traditional flex track, which allowed me to fiddle with it's final placement.
When I was happy with the alignment, I spiked the rail on the other side; this served both to anchor that rail, as well as solidly locate the entire track structure.
Shown here is an example of the glued rail being flexed, which gives an indication of how tough the bond is.
