This section was the first Homasote spline to be built in it's final location. Earlier, I had created a test section to figure out how to work with it. This would be an ongoing learning process.

In this photo, my brother and father are giving feedback on my approach to dealing with the natural weak spots created where two ends of spline laminates meet on a curve. This is only an issue on curves, and becomes progressively more difficult as the curve radius decreases.

This curve is relatively large radius, so only presented minor problems beyond what can be attributed to the learning curve. More on this later.
