Mid-Span Support Retrofit 5 - Bevel

Mid-Span Support Retrofit 5 - Bevel

The last step was beveling the leading edge of the bearing. The drawer's trailing edge comes off of the bearing’s leading edge when at full extension. This bevel, in combination with a matching bevel on the bearing on the underside of the drawer, allows the drawer's trailing edge to ride back onto the bearing without risk of catching. The bevel was formed with the oscillating saw, file and sand paper.
