This photo better shows the mounting details. All of the joists and risers through this section were modified to accommodate the plywood. Each riser was cut 3/4" lower - that was straightforward. The joists had to be notched, with 3/4" removed from their top surfaces. The end result was a flush transition between the plywood and 2" joists - perfect for the insulation foam I plan to use for the scenic base.
